The Lake Wales Public Library will conduct their annual holiday “Food for Fines” beginning October 29, 2012 continuing through December 31, 2012.
“Food for Fines” is a semi-annual fines amnesty program that provides library patrons the opportunity to “pay” overdue fines with a donation of food to the Lake Wales Care Center.
Non-perishable food collected in this drive will go to the Lake Wales Care Center’s Holiday Food Basket program.
Overdue materials may be returned with at least five non-perishable food items. Donated food must not be expired or opened, these will not be accepted.
Overdue materials from any Polk County Library Cooperative site may be returned during “Food for Fines.” Lost or damaged materials are not included in this amnesty program. .
