Lake Wales Fire Station

The mission of the Lake Wales Fire Department is to protect the lives and property in our community from loss due to fire, medical emergencies, and other disasters through public education and awareness as well as fire suppression and rescue services. Caring about those we serve, we strive to provide the most efficient and highest quality services possible.

About the Department

The Lake Wales Fire Department is staffed by twenty-four line personnel, a Fire Marshal, a Fire Inspector and our Fire Chief, Joe Jenkins.

The department operates three engines, one ladder, one tanker, one rescue, one brush truck and one rescue boat out of two stations. The Lake Wales Fire Department responds to approximately 2,500 emergencies per year. In addition, the prevention department performs approximately 1,215 fire inspections annually.

Our main fire station is located in the Municipal Services Center at 253 West Central Avenue, just east of the U.S. 27 and Central Avenue intersection. Our second fire station is located at 600 Chalet Suzanne Road, just east of Eagle Ridge Mall.
