Administration of City Elections

The City Clerk is the Chief Elections Officer of the City and conducts all city elections.

Date of Elections

City elections are always held on the first Tuesday in April.
  • Next Election, Tuesday, April 2, 2019
  • Past Election, Tuesday, April 4, 2017

There will not be an election in 2018. Commissioner Robin Gibson was the only candidate to qualify for Seat 5/District 28 and is elected without opposition.

No one qualified for Seat 3/District 122 so the Commission had to appoint someone to fill the vacancy.

On May 1, 2018 the City Commission appointed Terrye Howell to fill the vacancy. The new Commissioners were sworn in that same day.
