The City of Lake Wales congratulates Autumn Cochella, Development Services Manager, for her achievement becoming a nationally certified planner by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP). Autumn is the most recent certified planner to represent the City.
Autumn serves the City as an urban planner, managing responsible growth and new development activity. She is instrumental in facilitating the City’s comprehensive plan and land development regulations. “Engaging and listening to the public is the most important thing I do, doing what is best based on public interest,” said Autumn.
“Autumn is an integral member of our Development Services team. Her efforts directly improve the quality of life for the citizens of Lake Wales. I am proud of what she has accomplished during her time working for the City,” said City Manager James Slaton.
Autumn served the City as a Development Planning Technician before advancing to Development Services Manager in 2018. Autumn holds more than 13 years of experience working for the City. She started in 2008, supporting various departments, such as customer service, utilities administration, and purchasing.
