1. How do I register my company with the City of Lake Wales to pull permits?

Under the permits and inspections page, click on "Forms and Checklists" and look for the "Contractor’s Information Sheet". Depending on if your license holder is REGISTERED or CERTIFIED with the State of Florida will determine the side of the form you will need to fill out. Please send in supporting documents along with the "Contractor’s Information Sheet" to permitting@lakewalesfl.gov OR fax the information to 863-678-4050. There is no fee to register at this time. Once you are registered, you may then pull permits with the City of Lake Wales Building Department. 

2. How do I schedule an inspection?

All inspections must be submitted through our Contractor Portal (https://secure.lakewalesfl.gov/permits) or called in before 4pm the day before the inspection is needed. Owner Builders: Call in inspection request via telephone:  863-676-5112 x 501 or questions email INSPECTIONS@LAKEWALESFL.GOV

3. How do I find a copy of a survey for my property?

The City of Lake Wales Building Department does not keep property surveys on file unless they are associated with a previous building permit which required a site survey. Our office only keeps permit files for ten years after date of completion. If there are no previous permits for your property, you will need to hire a site surveyor.
